No 2 Squadron Royal Flying Corps

This site brings together three diaries from pilots serving with No 2 Squadron during the First World War. The diaries were made by:

Captain F W Smith  April 1915 to August 1915

Captain Smith went on to command 62 Squadron in 1918

Lt W L T Allcock   September 1915 to February 1916

Lt Allcock was later killed in action as a Flight Commander with 40 Squadron in 1917

2/Lt H S Montgomerie November 1917 to April 1918

Lt Montgomerie was wounded in action with 2 Squadron in 1918 and finished the war as a flying instructor
